People of every race are still adversely impacted by one of the most devastating events in world history: slavery. A visit to the African continent can be an enlightening, spiritual, and life-changing experience. The mission of Eunique African Travel & Tours is to foster enlightening, spiritually healing, life-changing experiences that empower and inform the lives of African Americans and others through travel, engagement, and the provision of critical services to regions of Africa that were central to the North Atlantic slave trade. We aim to strengthen the bonds between Africans and their descendants globally through acts of reconciliation, historical transcendence, and service.
About Us
Eunique African Travels & Tours is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit that aids in the provision of medical, dental, and basic survival needs to African citizens. Founded in 2018, our non-profit organization is dedicated to fostering global kinship between those impacted by the north Atlantic slave trade and their descendants. We do this through facilitating travel and tours to African regions that served as hubs for human trafficking. During each excursion, travelers learn about the culture, struggles, and triumphs of the people living in these regions.
We believe that the more knowledge we have of our ancestry, the more inspired we are to meet our future. We promote healthy reconciliation through positive interactions, such as assisting the indigent, children, prisoners, and other fragile populations. During each excursion, travelers visit jails, hospitals, orphanages, churches, and schools. These activities often result in travelers choosing to sponsor a child, family, or student in making quality-of-life improvements.
We collect and distribute public and private donations and goods to those in need, while reducing administrative costs so that the vast majority of donations go directly to the cause. Through our efforts, we have established a growing network of medical, educational, and social justice professionals from around the world to further serve West African populations. As the cost of traveling abroad is costly and unattainable for many, we facilitate the sponsorship of some travelers through public and private donations, ensuring everyone can experience the joy of Going Back to Give Back!
Meet Eunice
Eunice Feathers is the visionary entrepreneur and driving force behind Eunique African Travel & Tours, 501(c)(3) non-profit. She is on a mission to redefine the meaning of travel and self-discovery, one trip at a time. Eunice is a passionate, headstrong woman who has always had a flair for the innovative. As the youngest of three siblings, Eunice's innate creativity, persistence, sociability, and charisma have always set her apart. She uses those skills in her work coordinating and facilitating tours to Africa through Eunique.
She fell in love with Africa during her first trip to Ghana. During that trip, she became enamored with the country, the people, and the culture. She describes that trip as life-changing and notes that it left her with a resounding sense of "home."
She is passionate about helping others experience the life-changing journey and her trips are more than simple tourism. Eunique African Travel & Tours crafts trips that foster respectful exploration of each country's land, rich history and contemporary culture. Additionally, she has established partnerships with various Ghanaian charities and remains informed about their most pressing needs. During each trip, she encourages travelers to join her in donating resources to meet those needs.
Eunice's goal is to enhance the lives of Ghanaians and enrich the lives of all those who join her to this, and other, beautiful African countries. Eunice is an avid softball player who loves to travel, dance, and spend time with her family.
